The Great Flood

This morning before going to get Monkey from preschool, I flushed the toilet and it made a strange popping sound.  I left to go get Monkey and run to the post exchange.  When we got home the toilet sounded like it was running so I went to check it out.  I rounded the corner and the bathroom was flooded.  Water everywhere.  I called the maintenance number and told them what was happening and I was told that they would try and send someone out today, mind you, this was around noon.  I had towels all over the bathroom trying to get the water up and keep the water from flowing out the bathroom door.  Eventually I cut off the water.  Then I went downstairs to discover that the water was seeping through the floor and flooding the area in front of the basement door.  So I called the maintenance number again, explained the situation, and was asked if it was getting worse.  Umm, yes, it’s getting worse!  The woman told me they would page someone and get them over here.  When the maintenance crew arrived they discovered that a hose in the tank had broken and it was just spraying water!  They fixed that and then brought in the shop vac to try and get the water up out of the carpet.  Then they told me there was water in my wall, they had sucked out some of it, but there was no way to know how much was in there.  I was told to get the towels up quickly because that would help keep more water from getting in the wall.  Well, in my opinion the damage has already been done.  Now, my question is, will there be mold growing in my wall and am I just supposed to live with it??
