My Monkey loves all things Disney Princess, but her favorite is Sleeping Beauty. Before we moved we went to the Disney Store looking for a mermaid costume for Halloween and ended up pre-purchasing the 50th Anniversary edition of Sleeping Beauty so we could get the free lithograph set. Unfortunately there is not a Disney Store where we live, so my dad and step mom agreed to pick it up at the store near their house and send it to Monkey. It arrived last night via FedEx and has been playing on the portable DVD player ever since.
When we packed our unaccompanied baggage Monkey put her Sleeping Beauty dress, slippers, and crown in. Last night she got all dressed up in order to watch the movie. Then, we all had to act out the movie. Her daddy played the prince and I got stuck playing the evil Maleficent. Finally it was time for bed.
First thing this morning the dress and slippers were back on. We even had to find a sweater that could be used as a cape so she could “pick berries”. Fortunately I found a sweater that would work along with other props so we could act out the story, which we have done all day, while the movie plays.

That was my favorite movie on earth when I was a little girl! I’ve considered buying it for my boys, lol. (Well, maybe it would be more for myself!)
