Here is the first picture of our baby.
I had an appointment yesterday and everything looks good. The babies heartbeat was 168 bpm which is excellent! I am 12 weeks and 3 days pregnant. The baby is due around the 15th of December!
We took Monkey in for the ultrasound and she was so excited. She’s been telling everyone that she saw her baby brother or sister. She heard the heartbeat and asked the nurse what the noise was so the nurse explained it to her. I thought it was very nice of her to take the time to explain things to a three year old in terms she understood. We’re so excited and feel so blessed to have this little miracle!

Improvements and Work Orders
June 3, 2008 at 6:31 pm (Military Housing)
The housing department at the base we live on has decided to try and make improvements to the housing that we live in by installing new dishwashers. They came and installed mine yesterday.
We all question why they are doing this since they are supposed to tear these houses down in the near future. They were built in the late 60’s or early ’70’s and are literally falling apart. But, I don’t complain because it’s a roof over our heads. Now if they’d only decide to replace my 1970’s oven!
Speaking of our housing department, Hubby put in two work orders today. One for our bathtub that refuses to drain. We have problem with our bathroom plumbing at least once a month! Half the time our toilet won’t flush, but the day my Monkey decided to flush her underwear it worked fine! The other order was to take care of the ant infestation that has recently taken over our home. There is a crack in the tile in the bathroom that we watch the ants crawl in through. We walk around with a can of Raid to take care of the problem, but it can only do so much. Sunday the ants were in Monkey’s room, on her bed, on the wall, everywhere. Hubby went out to spray the outside and watched them crawl through the Masonite that our house is made of and then we discovered that they were coming up through the carpet. So, we used our Raid and vacuumed her entire room, even moving the bed. Yesterday I got up to make breakfast and my counter was covered in ants. I am very careful to put up all food and clean the counters, dishes go in the dishwasher at night, and yet, there they were. All over the place, climbing up the wall, and behind the oven. Today they are in the hall. Why are they in the hall?? Hopefully, GMH will come soon and take care of the problems. I can deal with a non draining bathtub, but I don’t know how long I can live with the ants!
