We picked up Monkey from Sunday School today and took her to get a doughnut from the fellowship hall. On our way out she informed Hubby and I that a little boy in her class had kissed her! I asked her what the little boy’s name is and she said “I don’t know.” I asked her where he kissed her, “On the cheek.” I asked her why he kissed her “Because that’s where my boo boo was.” I have no idea what boo boo she is referring too. I think the least she could do would be to know the name of the little preschooler that is kissing on her! Hubby and I had to laugh, it’s just too cute!
Summer Dance Recital
June 29, 2008 at 11:15 pm (Monkey)
Last night was Monkey’s summer dance recital and the final act of her dance teacher before she has her baby. I debated with Hubby and her teacher about letting her participate since she has a broken collar bone and has to wear a sling, but they both convinced me it was a good idea and deep down I hated to not let her take part since she’s worked hard to learn the dances and was looking forward to it. Her ballet class did a sweet little dance to “Can You Feel the Love Tonight” from the Lion King and her tap class danced to Cyndi Lauper’s “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun”. She spent most of her time playing with her colored spot (a colored piece of rubber that tells them where to stand) during the ballet portion, but actually danced when it was time to tap. We were both very proud of her, I’m sure it’s not easy to dance with one arm tied to your side. She tried her best and it was adorable! I’ll post a picture or two later.
