Crazy Daizy

My hubby was off work today so we decided to take Monkey to the zoo in the town where we live, they recently opened their Sea Lion exhibit. Monkey was very excited, she loves animals of all kinds. We arrived and went inside. We saw all the animals that the zoo had to offer and then we entered the sea lion exhibit. We watched them for a while through a large window outside and then made our way to the underwater. One sea lion was especially playful. She kept making her way to the glass , opening her mouth in the hopes that someone had a fish, and she even posed for some pictures. Monkey loved it even though she jumped at first when the sea lion came to say hello. We went upstairs to see the pool and watched them from there for a bit. Next came the goats, sheep, and donkeys. As we walked through Monkey started walking very quickly with her hands covering her mouth and nose exclaiming “It stinks in here.” So we went to grab a bite to eat and then went to the Elephant Encounter. We learned a lot about Asian Elephants and got to touch an elephant tooth, Monkey passed on that experience. Then it was on to the gift shop where Monkey looked at everything, finally deciding on a stuffed sea lion and a pink monkey key chain. We went to the educational experience. Monkey got to touch animal furs, lizard skins, and turtle shells. She saw bugs and a guinea pig, she wasn’t too impressed with any of that stuff though. Then back to the sea lions we went. We walked a little more back to the monkeys where my Monkey proceeded to show me and her daddy how the monkey was scratching its head and tummy. Then it was time to go. Monkey had a wonderful time and in the end that’s what it’s all about!
